Daycare Taped Toddler's Shoes to Her Ankles Leaving Bruises
North Carolina mommy Jessica Hayes took to Facebook after two daycare workers taped her 17-month-old daughter's shoes to her feet. The tape was wrapped so tightly that the toddler's feet were left hand contusioned and swollen, a shameful survey that Hayes shared photos of on interpersonal media on May 16, blasting Pleasant Hill Daycare for the incident.
"I am upset that this happened to my youngster as someone was clearly sick that she was learning take her place dispatch and done it out of being provoked," she captioned the photos. "This was also not just her shoes existence taped up information technology was around her ankle. My 17-calendar month-old child was incapable to say anything."
And President Haye' girl wasn't the alone toddler subject to taping at the Elkin, N.C. daycare. Another parent commented that the same thing happened to her fry that day. However, she stressed that the daycare was handling it, claiming, "They are just as upset as the parents and devastated that this happened."
Some workers involved in the event have since been fired, reported to Pleasant Alfred Hawthorne's director, Maehsell Marley, who Rutherford B. Hayes says "was just as unarticulate as I was" when informed about the tape marks. Marley stated that the daycare "nohow condones or allows some practice that would be harmful to a child," and that "the shoe-taping incident is not a representation of who we are."
President Haye also divided up a postdate-up post in which she explained she will continue to sustain her girl listed in the day care: "I am positive this won't happen to another child every bit it has raised awareness to totally."
